Introducing . . . Rick Harden |
This singer, songwriter
and drummer, has spent over twenty five years in the music industry - doing what we all
do - chasing a dream. I know how important it is not to let go of your dreams and how
important it is to find that rainbow. That's why I continued to write, play and sing
throughout better than two decades. I've started no less than five different bands playing at
least three different types of music. I have played with no less than 15 groups. Among
them Ira Allen and The Palomino Riders (the 1978 Non-touring Country Band of
the year), Lee Rodgers and Stampede Pass (this is the band I did the opry shows and
opened for Mel Tillis with) just to name a couple. I've toured from Alaska to
southern California, and as far east as Nebraska. I have also played on the Island of Guam.
I have played from the local tavern to plush hotels and opera houses. I do know what it is
like to go hungry to do something you really love, and believe you can succeed in. I was
lucky enough to have a wonderful and loving wife to stand beside me through my musical
endeavors. I was born in Livingston, Montana and moved to Tacoma, Washington where I
have spent most of my life. At this time I have retired from the music business, I'm now building web sites
and maintaining a special web site called
WesternWashington.com . But I do miss the
bands and I do miss the excitement of the stage when everything is going great. Maybe
some day I'll get a chance to do it again, but till then I'll stay close to home and try to give
back to my wife some of the things she gave up to let me chase a dream . . .
