Joe Smith(real name) is the drummer for Back in the Saddle. Joe started playing
drums as a young boy. His family used to go to a Sunday dance and watch the band.
Joe intently watched the drummer play and keep the beat going. Joe decided from
that point on to pursue his drumming career.
Joe met up with Jim and Carl in the 1980s during the rock n' roll era. The three
remained good friends after that. So when it came time for the Magers to
look for a drummer, they did not have to look very far. After that the rest was history
and Back in the Saddle was complete.
In Joe's spare time he enjoys cars and boat racing. Joe would like to
race boats someday, however, his job as a car salesman and musician will have
to do for now.
