| Kirby is a Morgan gelding. At 12yrs. old, he is the sweetest horse, and stands about 15 hands. I ride him English and occasionally Western! Kirby is also shown in little county shows, or saddle club shows. Last year, 2001, Kirby did great in the Carthage Wrangler horse show. He took firsts in- halter, Showmanship, English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Trot Barrels, and Trot Poles. We took a trophy in each of those classes! The 4-H show, about a month after the Wrangler show, was a huge success also. When you almost clean sweep the 7 classes you are in, you are doing pretty good! Once again we took Halter, Showmanship, English Pleasure, Trot Poles, and Trot Barrels, but we also added Horsemanship. Because Kirby had some major malfunction, we messed up in the Light Breed Western Pleasure and took second. The always fun "Bribe your Horse" class proved to be a blast this year, just like every year-we took 3rd. Besides showing, Kirby also likes to round up the cattle, and show off in a parade or two. You can usually find us in the Grapefestival Parade, and Rodeo Parade. This year we are doing more, because Kirby is my ride as I am Hancock Co. Beef Queen. | Kirby is an excellent horse, the perfect example of a Morgan, and I wouldn't sell him for any amount of money, he is worth much more to me than that. He has a great history, and bloodlines. | Kirby would also like to say hi to a very special girl!- Katie. Katie has taken about 7-8 lessons on Kirby, so far, and before they move will have taken about 12.We were very sadden to hear that Katie and her family were going to be moving to California.We hope to keep in contact with them and see them heading back this way very soon!
