My garden grows perennials, Each blossoms for awhile,
But the one that never fails me, Is the perennial smile!
Bearded Iris | Bright Eyes Phlox |
Sunrose | Dianthus |
Balloon Flowers | Obediant Plant |

Day Lillies | "David" Phlox |

Gazania (Can't leave out the annuals) | Primrose |

Columbine | |

And this is my favorite smile! | And our old friend, Pete... |
If only my perennials could blossom all year long like my Belle does! And by the way, the poem at the top was written back in 1937 by my great grandmother.

A sad note. In January of 2001 our Pete, aka Bonkers, disappeared. Coyotes have been seen roaming our neighborhood. We fear the worst and pray that he is keeping heaven clear of mice. Belle still misses him. Lesson learned. Keep your cats safe and warm indoors
