You know , sir ,that Israel has achieved an enormous progress in software exports.I think I should draw your attention in major myopia that Indian software industry is suffering from. 1> We always created software for pleasing the client- and that to America always.If we would have targeted all countries including America say UAE,Australia etc,we would have good bargaining power of having software development in a particular way(fast and standardised). 2> We are stuck into customised software solution which takes lot of manpower(time,energy,money) and slows down the development. We did this because we thought that our client is pleased. Now that our American clients are suddenly reviewing whether price justify their utility. So we should really stop customisation approach even if client (some rich but ignorant one) insists. Bow down, fold your hands and say 'sorry'.Let us develop standardised softwares which are fast to develop and give more bargainig power to price them well. 3>We can train other country people,who can do software development (of course standardised one) and market them. 4> We can have computers and internet accounts available at half the rate, only if govt intervenes. 5>We can have 1 Rs = 45 $ .and Americans working in India for their livinghood only just by changing bargaining power..!!okay.. let's be fair 1INR = 1.5 $..Reach upto that & forgive Bankim Shah |
