A project in collaboration with UNDP for strengthening  the Hand made  Paper Industry in India has been started during 1990-91 at Sanganer, Near Jaipur. The project will improve the productivity of Handmade Paper Industry in India and make its products competitive both in India and abroad.

Khadi & Village Industries Commission has been included in another UNDP Project under the Ministry of Industry. This project i.e. Leather Umbrella Project is located at Ambala (Haryana). The project aims at upgrading the skill and productivity of the rural artisans including women engaged in leather products.
