Hello all! It's me Larisa, also known as Lyssa or Liza (that's /lie-zah/) in real life. This is my new website... souped up by the few new skills I've learned.

Meow! So next, I am supposed to say something about myself, right? Uh, let's see.. there's so many things I can say and I don't know where to start... Cats are my favorite animals. Being a music lover, I have a substantial collection of both MIDI and MP3 files (my poor hard disk!). My two favorite movies (which I have so totally memorized) are Clueless and of course, Titanic.

Alright, so I'm happily addicted to the web already. My IRC server is DALnet and the nick I'm presently using is "Larisa" (although you can catch me using one of my zillion other nicks from time to time). The channels I hang out in vary according to season (and more often, my temperament). Here are a couple of websites about the channels I had recently been gracing with my presence:

The #Aquatribe home page ... The fishing channel! nahhh... This isn't a big channel, with only two or three chatters most of the time but I'll let you on a secret: Several times, it was in this channel where I wallowed in sorrow during the times of despair. Nagsesenti, ika nga. But the thing is, there's always someone in this channel who's willing to listen, and give advice too.

The Official #mpinoy3 Website ... Thanks to this channel, I now have half a hard disk full of MP3s. Ah, but wait, it doesn't all end there. MP3s, you know, take a lot of time to download... and so while waiting for those endless sends and gets, the chatters here pass the time driving each other nuts. Pay a visit sometime, and you'll see what I mean :)

So, OK.. It's like, the minute I got introduced to the Internet, the first thing I dove into was the chatroom, right? Well, oh well, IRC is a fun place alright, but mind you, the Internet is also good for a bunch of other stuff. I don't go out much to begin with so this is the only place where I can gather my thoughts and regain my strength. (Does this line sound familiar? :)) Well anyway, here are some of the sites I find quite useful and a must-visit every surfing session:

The International Lyrics Server ... Lyrics, lyrics and more lyrics!! Whether it be to find the lyrics to the latest hit, or to look up the name of the artist of a certain song in my MP3 list, this site could could always be counted on.

Arachnophilia ... If you must know, I made this whole website with the help of this incredible (as in too good to be true!) software. As I've stated earlier, I'm a person with a limited hard disk space... and if you're anything like me, you'd love spiders... err, Arachnophilia too!

Pathfinder ... Call me a bookworm cuz that's what I am (sometimes!) Here's a site where you can find online versions of Time and People magazine (among others). I wish there were more sites like these. Saves paper too! No offense to those who prefer print, OK? =)

And of course... all these wouldn't have been possible without my trusty ISP!

Sky Internet the BEST! ... Like many other popular ISPs, it's had its share of side comments like ang hirap maka-connect and laging busy! But, as I always say to my friends (who incidentally are also SKYINET subscribers), "It's only a matter of patience and good timing." I give their site my thumbs up sign. You should see it... hmm I wonder who their webmaster is...

Universities in the Philippines. Every highschool senior dreams of getting into one of these high calibre U's. Need I say more?

De La Salle University ... This is Mike's school. Lasallians are people too, mind you. All I could say is, they have a killer Computer Science curriculum. Or so I've heard.

Ateneo De Manila University ... This is UP Diliman's next door neighbor. Visit their website too. It rocks!

So there you have it. I guess by now you have a pretty good idea of my personality based on the sites I've listed here.
