Ballet Company "Arabesque"
was founded in year 1967, and it is called to realer the new unconventional
ideas in the contemporary ballet art. The repertoire consist of over 100
author's one-act /mono/ ballet, work of the most notable Bulgarian and
foreign ballet masters
"Arabesque" is an artistic
phenomenon in the interpretation of Bulgarian music, of the symphonic of
the 20-century, of the creative interaction between ideas, forms and techniques
in the contemporary plastic expression.
The ballet troupe consists
of brilliant creative individualities.
The stage of "Arabesque"
is open for visiting actors, ballet masters, composers and painters, who
are looking expression in the contemporary ballet esthetics.
Director of "Arabesque "
is reader Kalina Bogoeva, prima ballerina of Sofia National Opera House.
She wins international and public recognition and she is an authority in
the spear of the ballet pedagogy, ballet master and producer.
From 1996 "Arabesque" carryout
annual ballet nights and adjudge the memorial award "Margarita Arnaudova"
for the very best authors choreography.
"Arabesque" is a member of
Bulgarian Committee for Olympic Art.
