wishes
COLETTE NYS-MAZURE
Through fears and hopes
The flame in our lives wavers
On the threshold of a new age.
I bring you my wishes :
Respond to all that comes your way,
Free of any remorse,
Of any regret.
Let each lasting rancor be uprooted.
We can elect to conter
Somber forebodings
With a glow of fervor;
To spark off trust,
To dispense this light
Modest yet resolute.
A task for man and for woman,
Compagnons in joys
And sorrows, as they venture
On the crossroads of life.
