When I first met you
I was overwhelmed by the idea of you
As I got to know you better
Your attitude and values towards life overwhelmed me
Now that we're together
I seem to be totally overcome
By the reality of having you in my life
And the joy and happiness you've brought in it
Sweetheart, it's heartening to know
That there's so much you and I have in common
And things we'd like for us to achieve together
A sense of purpose, commitment and fulfillment
That only our two hearts and mind
Could possibly sit and work towards attaining
And most remarkable of which
Is our approach and attitude towards life
And although promises are sometimes easily said and broken
Having a common understanding and acceptance
To want to be always in each others life
And never once letting the flame in us die out
Through whatever trials and tribulations life may take us
through
While always thinking about the other person
And having their best interests at heart
Is one promise we could both strive to keep
And getting to know you well as I am now doing
Has once again given me a sense of purpose and hope in life
And is making it easy for me
To open up and share my reserved feelings with you
Because of the understanding goodness in you

Forever and A Day
When you held me
I knew that I would live again,

You came to me

God sent you as an answer
to my fervent prayer

feeding the trust

Holding me close, sheltered
in your loving arms
You keep me safe; You make me whole.
When you touch me
I know I am alive again,
