As the gardener finishes telling you of the herbs you happen to glance down and see hundreds of stones at the base of each plant. Upon closer inspection you notice that they are precious stones, you see rubies, pearls, and many others.
:oohhh" the gardener says as he see where your gaze was wondered "Interested in our stones are you?". You look up and nod. "Well everystone has a special meaning to it, well start with the Garnet
Amethyst (bluish-viloet, a grave colour but useful in restoring health to the sick)
Febuary's stone, denoted sincerity, and helped to keep the wearer sober.
Bloodstone (dark-green variegated with red jasper), March's stone for courage
and presenceof mind.
Daimond, April's stone, for innocence and light.
Emerald, May's stone, for love potency.
Pearl, or Agate, June's stone, the latter denoting health and long lifeand a counter
against poison, while the pearl stood for purity and tears.
Ruby (Carnelian) July's stone, for contentment, courage.
Sardonyx (reddish), August's stone, for married bliss.
Sapphire, September's stone, the magic stone of Jupiter, an antidote for misery.
Opal, October's stone, stood for hope, but unlucky for those not born in this month.
Topaz, November's stone, fidelity.
Turquoise, December's stone, prosperity.
Garnet (red sometimes brown, green, yellow, and black; green was considered
an unlucky colour for all those not born in May; brown stood for fading
affection) It's January's stone and stands for truth and constancy.
