Definitions

Words are defined, through what we find,
Its society whose made, this foundation already laid,
They tell us what they mean, very specific, very keen,
Then we go out to experience, these things that give a picture, but have no appearance,

And as time goes by, we are given definitions of these words through mouths that lie,
And our beliefs get distorted, and they words stop meaning what they once purported,
And this is why man and woman rarely try,
To understand,these unfamiliar meanings, in this unfamiliar land.

This is the cause,for communication to pause,
Ands prevents people to express, what they fear in all this mess,
And they begin to confuse, these false meaning they choose,
With what these words once meant, and the meanings they once kept.

The things that we say, might be like night and day ,
To some other, because of false meaning they thought they once discovered,
And this creates, the friction between mates,
Because what they might say or do, can mean something totally different to you.

And you think you act, correctly because of the false meaning you thought you lacked,
But then you are surprised, when you find,
That,that is not what they meant, and suddenly versions get bent,
And what you once thought was right, no longer has this clear sight.

And a fog of doubt, suddenly comes about,
And this cloud of wonder, is created by you and this significant other,
Simply because you aren't on the same page, which instantly creates a rage,
Because this different view, may have existed even when the relationship was brand new,

But you were oblivious to know, there is nobody to say I told you so,
So you try and negotiate, hoping the other will participate,
In creating common ground, to which will be the path you now will be bound,
And you think you've figured it all out, and cast away all those strange doubts.

When suddenly you realize, the rules have been changed behind your eyes,
And now things are different, and must go their way without any of your input to be lent,
It's now that you see, from now on how it will be,
And it's you who now can easily decide, what you will do, and the place you won't ultimately reside…
