Bayou Brilliance
A beautiful bud emerging
In a sultry southern sun
Coy and alluring
With
the brilliance of the sun
Like southern food of comfort
She lets her beauty creep
With a spicy hot seduction
She burned me hot and deep
She came on slow to touch me
With a sudden voodoo spell
Put my heart in prison
Then
sucked my soul to hell
Then
spit me out to heaven
With
a tender misty smile
She
held me close in friendship
And
I felt like heaven's child
