Dead in the City of Light
"I am the King, you cannot challenge that
which is absolute" Louis XVI In the early Eighteenth century,
upon the death of his father, a young and ambitious king, took the reigns of
the monarchy and seized control of all aspects of France's lifestyle
including; Its economy, its culture, and its religion. He did this, out of a
belief that God had given him this divine right and that it was the destiny
of all kings to control all aspects of life within their kingdom.
Paris, according to the world of darkness, is a far
different place from what mortals know. The King is actually the chief ghoul
of Prince Hippocrates Noah. By controlling the King, Hippocrates essentially
controls all of France. However, the burden of controlling an area so vast
means that the Prince's authority in Paris can be undermined. At first, the
Prince laid down a heavy hand on those who broke any traditions, but now,
even the Primogen Council tests his authority, embracing some mortals without
permission. Couple this with the inter clan rivalry, the Anarch troublemakers
and the Sabbat threat; Paris indeed, becomes a place where only the smartest
of Masqueraders can survive |

game "Paris: Dead in the City of Light" is an attempt to play elder
kindred who will survive the passage of time and be witness to historical
events. The chronicle began October of 1995, after the fallout of the
Montreal Chronicles. The start date in the game is 1695 in Paris, France.
When will it end? Who knows, being that vampires do live forever and that
players continue to show enthusiasm, could suggest that the game can go on
for a long time. Main Characters (Nosferatu)
