This is one of my Senior pictures. I had a ton of fun taking them. My mom and I went out to the Bottling Works Mall, Greenhorn Park, and the Cemetary (of all the places!!!) and we took about 3 or so rolls of pictures....it was great. We got tons of great pictures, and made some great memories. |
This is the most recent picture of me that I have. Paul and I went to the Summer Slam in Red Bluff, and we were taking pictures of the players. He asked me to turn around, and he shot the last frame of me. |
I am very interested in Theatre, and it is easy to find some dramatic influence with the World's first Shakespearen Festival just 30 minutes away from my hometown in the college town of Ashland. I have been to see only one play, and it was a great experience. I hope to see more in the future, and I hope the future is nearer than I assume it is. I was in a play my freshman year called "The Matchmaker" in which I played the part of "Irene Malloy." That had to be the most fun I had that year. I was also in a play my sophomore year, titled "The Man Who Came To Dinner." It is a great play; I was chosen to play the part of "Lorraine Sheldon" in the play, and I loved the interaction, and especially the attention. The play was performed at the Yreka Community Theatre on November 12th, 13th, and 14th of 1998, and it was a great success!!
I also really enjoy taking pictures. I love the feeling I get when I am able to see on paper the way I wanted the picture to turn out. I enjoy having the same feeling looking at the print as when I took the photograph. I have finally gotten a small "portfolio" together, so take a look if you're so inclined...I'm pretty proud of it.
There are a lot of things in my life that mean alot to me. My family is one of the most important things in my life. I've learned that no matter what you've said or done, your family will always be there for you. I have learned this through lots of experience, and through all the trials I have put my family through, they have always been there to come back to whenever I needed someone.
I got my first taste of snowboarding during the winter of 1998, and trust me, it isn't as easy as it looks. A friend of mine took me up to Mt. Shasta on the Tuesday before Christmas, and it was a blast. It took me 2 hours and 15 fifteen minutes to get down the slope the first time. We went down the same slope two more times, and each time I got a little faster. I learned how to stop, how to turn, and how to fall. Falling came naturally, but other than that it was a challenge. It was a painful experience, and I was sore for the day after that, but all in all, it was the funnest thing I have ever done. I went three times total, and each time I got better and better. I didn't go off of any jumps, but I got a lot of experience. I also went again the next season with my friend Bill. I had so much fun. I still didn't go off of any jumps, just 'cause I'm chicken, but we'll see about next season! I've become so attached and now I'm pretty much addicted to the sport. One of these days, I'll have a really great jump on camera, and I'll post it here.
