Song: Day At A Time WELCOME TO GRANDMA C's CYBERPLACE Hi! I'm known as Grandma C, Carol5, gransurfer1, gransurf, and Bitcey on the internet and I am a Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. My Husband and I have been married for 54 years and we are semi-retired. We plan on doing some traveling in the next few years as our "expanding" family is scattered around the country. We enjoy fishing, boating, going on cruises. I write poetry, greeting card verse, short articles, and children's stories. Geneology, surfing the web, making web pages, and crafting are just a few of my hobbies. I am also a recovering alcoholic. I have been sober for 22 years and belong to Alcoholics Anonymous. I practice the 12 steps and live the principles of AA. I believe in a Higher Power, and that Power is God. I believe in miracles. How could I not, when I am one! I believe in the power of prayer and that most people are honest, caring, and compassionate. I believe that there is evil in this world and his name is Satan and his helpers are the fallen angels now known as demons. They are nothing like movies and TV portrays them which causes some people to believe that only the ugly, misshappen, distructive, are evil. No, they are cunning, baffling, powerful spirits that can make one think that what is evil, good and what is good, evil. But, that is not what this cyberplace of mine is about. It is about love, compassion, friendship, and a place for me to explore my inner thoughts and feelings with you. I hope that it will help others who are still suffering or in recovery from alcoholism, drug addiction, depression, or whatever is causing problems in their lives or those of their loved ones, to know that there is a way out, that they can find the happiness, joy, beauty, and fun that I have and that life is worth living. Every day is a new beginning, and that it is not important what happens to us, but how we react to it. Recovery Thought: When you are in the dark, listen, and God will give you a very precious message for someone else when you get in the light. Oswald Chambers The true meaning of friendship is to give without expecting anything in return and to love unconditionally. Dance like no one is watching, Sing like no one is listening. Love like you'll never get hurt, And live like it's heaven on earth. ~~Author Unknown~~ I hope you'll visit my other pages before you go. All my pages are linked back to this one. See below.
