Starring:
The Man Who Cried is coproduced by Adventure Pictures (Christopher Sheppard), Working Title Films, and Canal Plus. It is based on an original screenplay by Sally Potter. The editor is Hervé Schneid, who also worked on Orlando and The Tango Lesson. The soundtrack features Taraf de Haidouks, a popular gypsy band from Romania. Filming locations included Paris and the Bourne Woods in England.
