a boy, he carried his father's easel and followed him all over the island.
He dislike everything about painting then. He was trained by the father.At
first, he found that painting in this medium is very hard indeed. But through
patient and determination, he finally captured the flow in this medium.Since
then, painting has became a hobby to him. In 1994, at
the aged of 20, he pursued a career in watercolor painting.
Today, Thye Aun has paintings
in many four star hotels, and his work is truly admired by many. As an
artist,he has defined his own styles and distinguished himself from his
teacher. He admires the work of Winslow Homer and Sir William Russell Flint.
His paintings of old buildings are an eye opener to our dying heritage,
and remind us of the glorious past. |
