I was born in the small rural town of Jayess, Mississippi, and I have lived here all of my life. I attended a Christian school K-12, and graduated as valedictorian of my class in May 1994.

          I began my college career in the summer of 1994 at Southwest Mississippi Community College, and then transferred to the University of Southern Mississippi in the fall of 1996. I finished the spring of 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies/Business Administration.

          While at USM, I served as the President of the USM Paralegal Society, and as the student body representative for the College of Liberal Arts Curriculum Review Council. I was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the USM Honors College, and the Phi Chi Theta Business Honor Society. I enjoyed being involved with campus activities.

          I am now married to the most wonderful guy in the world, my husband Jason Scheel, and enjoying living in our new home. I started my own real estate business in Beebe, AR, and work full time as a Senior Network Account Manager for United Healthcare in Little Rock, AR.
