Since 1971, the Bredenbury Lions Club has completed many projects for the community and supported other worthwhile Lions sponsored projects. These include the sound system for the arena, ball diamonds in the Rose Bowl, financial support for the playground equipment and financial support for individuals in need. We have also sponsored teacher training for the Lions Quest "Skills for Growing and Skills for Adolescence" programs and provided workbooks for the students. We continue to support the Western Blind Golfers and Curlers, the Lions Eyebank of Saskatchewan, the Lions Foundation of Canada, CNIB, Lions Clubs International Foundation and Cavalcade for Diabetes. We have made donations to the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, Saltcoats Lakeside Manor Care Home, Bredenbury Community Hall and to the Yorkton Regional High School for Band students trips. We provide an annual Senior’s Christmas Party, Santa Claus for the Christmas Concert and the annual Remembrance Day Service. We collect used eyeglasses for recycle to third world countries
In order to carry out these varied donations, we run the Community Calendar project, work at bingo in Yorkton (with Community Hall Committee) sell Easter Bunnies and hold a monthly Business draw.
Any one who may be interested in joining the Bredenbury Lions Club, please contact one of the Lions listed above.
