Fixtures and cabinets

Kamtz Companies out of Loveland, Colorado built and installed our cabinets.  They do custom work, but at a price that beats mass produced cabinets!  We went with a shaker style design with a washed maple front.  I would heartily recommend their product.

Their installer worked alone using the reverse technique from cabinet installation that I have done in the past.  Typically I would install cabinet uppers first, using the lower space to stand and work on the the uppers. 

This installer put in the lowers first, getting them plumb and level.  Then he cut wood stick supports at the correct length and used the sticks to support the uppers from the tops of the lower cabinets.  Since the lowers were already plumb and level, he didn't need to plumb and level the uppers.  Next time I install cabinets, I will try his technique.
