The Rock sat down and talked on BET's Madd Sports where he discussed different aspects of his career. sports entertainment in general and his role as a performer, and some of his favorites in the sports and music field!! Very inquisitive interview by Dwayne Johnson that also included some comments by fans, footage and photos of Rock in action, and they even showed his new TitanTron in its entirety...pics of some spots of it are included below....

On growing up in the industry and his influences for his character and style:
He was influenced style-wise by Rick Flair and as he states he took from different places, some made up on his own, and that mixture is what makes The Rock who he is....


On being a heel or babyface:
"As far as for The Rock being a babyface or a heel...my main objective has always been just to entertain the fans ..As a babyface there are alot of flaws in The Rock...The Rock is vulnerable alot of the times but as a heel...The Rock has alotta social redeeming qualities to him"...

Favorite Matches:
He enjoys working with HHH and would say it was the Iron Man Match at Judgment Day...Others are matches with Mick Foley...Undertaker and the match of all matches with Steve Austin at WM 15......

On where he thinks the WWF will be 10 years from now:
Sees the WWF as more global than ever and his personal goal is the take the brass ring of the WWF and the larger than life character of The Rock, here..there, and even to the moon...He says the WWF will still be king of the ratings, ppv buyrates, and maybe even he will one day be accepting an Oscar...

On Vince McMahon:
"Being in the position that I am in, I cant help but become close the McMahon family....Vince McMahon himself is a visionary, he has a flair for entertaining the public....he certainly cornered the market in that area and he has a passion for this industry...he has a genuine love for this industry, he has a genuine love for this business which i can appreciate because i share that same love....He has a genuine passion and love for family which i can also appreciate.....Vince McMahon is one of those guys who's like a dinosaur...he will be around forever"....



On his involvement with the XFL:
"Possibly The Rock doing commentary on the XFL games?" (smiles) "Yeah you can pretty much count on that at sometime down the line, thats a DEFINITE.....As far as for putting the pads back on, no sir brother, no way.. not the Rock" (major grinning)...."Let The Rock do the real stuff and let those football players do the staged stuff"..

On his attire as The Rock vs Dwayne Johnson:
The Rock is over the top with an ego, arrogance and what he wears best.. either his rolexes, versace shirts, lizard skin shoes..As far as for him personally...Dwayne Johnson.....he likes to dress nice..casually or he'll be walking around in flip flops, shorts...whatever...he's laid back and cool...its no big deal...hes just cool....



On People who copy his style:
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery....he's cool with it because there's only one Rock....

Talks about the women of the WWF:
"As far as females in our industry, They are portrayed as strong characters, from Chyna who on a regular basis wrestles men...to our valets, ring announcer, all are portrayed in a strong fashion, which i think is very important.....The beauty of our industry and the beauty of our programming is that we can control that and we make sure that our women are strong."...
He also thinks women in boxing also are strong and quote "represent" very well although its a totally different environment than the WWF.

On SNL Role and the door that his appearance on there opened:
Rock stated he was adament about not doing any wrestling related skits and the fact that appearing on there opened him up to alot of offers to appear in movie thus leading to his first role in the Mummy Returns and then the "The Scorpion King" prequel...

His favorites in Hip Hop music:
He says he loves hip hop music, he's into both East Coast and West Coast such as Ice Cube, DMX, Wyclef Jean, Method Man, WC of the Westside Connection but his all time favorite is Sam Cooke...

Comment on the Presidential Election:
"I'll make an educated prediction about the election....its seems at this point that Bush is going to win"...
As far as who he voted for...Rock jokingly states that the man who wins is the one he voted for..(HUGE laughing here)....

Favorites on the Gridiron...Basketball..and Baseball:
Football: His favorites are guys he played with at Miami...Jesse Armstrong...Michael Barrow...and Warren Sapp...
He doesnt really have a favorite pro team but if he just have to pick...his ties are with the Miami Dolphins

Basketball:The LA Lakers...he likes Robert Horry(with whom he good friends with)...Kobe Bryant...Shaquille O'Neal...and not because they are the champs...He loves attending Laker games and thinks that everybody should go to them...

Baseball: Rock says hes a die hard fan of both the Yankees and the Mets....he says he knows that may seem strange but its true....
To end he gives props to golf's Tiger Woods for all his accomplishments at his young age....
