PRACTICE FIELD:Venice High School... (corner of Venice Blvd & Walgrove). Penmar Recreation Center... (1 block West of Walgrove on Rose).
REGISTRATION AND CERTIFICATION:
You must have...AGE DIVISIONS:
- Proof of age(Original Birth Certificate or Passport, Baptismal not excepted).
- A complete Medical exam, signed by a Doctor, certifying that the player is physically fit to play tackle football, by August 1. Must be on a Valley Youth Conference Physical Form
- A complete Player Contract, signed by the player and his/her parent/guardian.
- A copy of the ending year report card is required at signup. All particpants not maintaing a "C" average or better, will be required to attend our Tutorial program.
- Cash or check made out to "Westside Youth Association" for $200.00.

- August 1, 1996 & July 31, 1997 ...Football Division age is 13
- August 1, 1997 & July 31, 1998 ...Football Division age is 12
- August 1, 1998 & July 31, 1999 ...Football Division age is 11
- August 1, 1999 & July 31, 2000 ...Football Division age is 10
- August 1, 2000 & July 31, 2001 ...Football Division age is 9
- August 1, 2001 & July 31, 2002 ...Football Division age is 8
- August 1, 2002 & July 31, 2003 ...Football Division age is 7
- August 1, 2003 & July 31, 2004 ...Football Division age is 6
PLAYING LEVELS:
Each Player will be weighed-in at Certification, and before each game. Players must play in their own weight division. Divisional weight requirements are:

Players who do not attend the weigh-in or do not meet the weight limits are not allowed to play in that game.
SAFETY:
The Valley Youth Conference emphasizes player safety. Every player must have a Doctor's approval to play. At every practice or game, a person qualified to administer first aid will be present. Before any player participates in physical contact drills against another player, he will have had two weeks of intensive physical conditioning. At each practice and before each game, he will go through a thorough routine of stretching and warming up exercises. Before he ever takes the field in a game, he will have had over 50 hours of vigorous training and conditioning. When he plays, his games will be officiated by registered collegiate or high school football officials.EQUIPMENT:
Each Player is issued the following equipment by Westside Youth Association:This equipment must be returned to Westside Youth Association at season's end.
- Helmet with face mask and chin strap
- Shoulder pads
- Hip girdle with pads
- Thigh pads
- Knee pads
- Game jersey and pants
Each Player is expected to provide his own:
- Football Shoes (Must NOT have detachable/screw-in cleats)
- Athletic supporter
- socks
- mouthguards (must attach to helmet face guard.)
