On Sunday we set out for Point Arena. As we entered the parking lot (during a tree carving contest) I was happy to see guys in wetsuits clutching their boards. "I finally get to surf", I thought to myself. After a closer look I noticed that the boards looked like Maverick guns with 1/2" stringers. All I had was my 7'3" semi-gun. Never the less, I paddled out. The waves were about 12' to 15' or up to tripple over-head. Unlike my local break, Ocean Beach, there was a channel to paddle out to the waves.
Skipping down the face, my 7'3" was a little small, but I caught some good waves. After a 2 hour session, I got out and snapped some pics. Unfortunately I didn't have my zoom lens, but you get the picture!
