Chemical and Biological

Warfare

Is it right to have it?

Many say that chemical weapons are such a bad idea. While our enemy countries are already developing and using them, we are still concerned about even thinking about producing them. Iraq is the number one country for chemical and biological weapons. They are also a major threat to the United States. So what will we do when they use them on us? We will have nothing to counter-strike with. Having these biological weapons available for the U.S. can’t be dangerous like many people think. Just think about all the other dangerous warfare weapons we already have. Nothing has happened with those yet. These biological weapons won’t be any worse. They could even be an alternative to some of those other more dangerous warheads and nukes. Back during World War II, the United States began to develop atom bombs and hydrogen bombs. The A-bomb brought the war to a quick end by taking out Hiroshima. You never know when you might need to use those biological weapons. They, too, could play a major part in something like the A-bomb did. So overall, developing and having this kind of technology could be a real advantage for us. Many other countries like Russia and Iraq have them and for us to have them too would just be a good idea. I think the government should do what’s right and catch up with the rest of the world and do some more research and development in this area of warfare.
