The following pictures are of my very special little pet! Her name is "Critter"! I found her on the ground when she was only 2 inches big & had no teeth! (I had to eyedropper feed her till she got some!) She could make it about 2ft up a tree & fell off when I went to look at her. I just had an overpowering "feeling" that she'd never make it if I didn't "save her"!

Now she's almost 4yrs old & believe me when I say what a real MONSTER she has become! (I call her "Tree Rat" when she is in trouble! haha!)

Here she is "relaxing" after another round of terrorizing "Mamma". Notice the soft fluffy yellow "love gloves" she is guarding? These are the gloves I now have to wear when handling her since she just CAN'T seem to be careful with her teeth!

There is absolutely NOTHING more "GREEDY, DEMANDING, VICIOUSE & SELFISH" (territory protecting) as a pine squirrel! And they DO NOT share! She now grudgingly tolerates me living in "HER" house!!

(I am NOT joking here!!!)

Aside from no longer having ANY edges on ANY of my furniture (I've heard "naturally distressed" furniture is more valuable?!?) & no dirt left in ANY of my house plants (Isn't that where EVERYONE hides their nuts?!?), we get along fairly well & I have found that she absolutely LOVES to play "Chase The Critter", "Chase ANY Moving Object" & "Instantly Shred The Hand That Feeds You"!

In the photo right--> she is most likely comtemplating her NEXT "act of TERROR"! hehe!

critterboots

A favorite place to have a nut stash! Dad's boots!!! Very clever don't cha know?

This picture shows how really teeny this monster really is! Hard to believe a creature this small could be so intimidating hmmm?!

Be afraid...

...BE VERY AFRAID!!!

crittersink

No, unfortunately Critter does NOT do dishes *pout*

lovegloves

Checking out the love-gloves...they are no fun at all if they don't have any fingers inside them!

christmascritter

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Where is that Santa Squirrel anyhow!?!

Critter gets her yearly stash of "nuts in the shell" this time of year!

I discovered that a "Blue Spruce" Christmas tree seems to be too prickly for her...she won't climb it...thank heavens!!!

Critter died August 3, 2002 after 5 wonderful years with her... my heart will miss her forever. Rest in peace my beautiful little squirrel angel...
