Felix is a natural at swimming. Here he is at the VA NIAD picnic in August 2000. Remember: always rinse your iguana off after swimming in a chlorinated pool. Since the picnic, Felix insists on a daily bath so he can float in the bathtub.

Foundation for Iguana Rescue, Safety and Training, INC (FIRST) is the sponsor for VA NIAD. We will be holding our third picnic on August 4, 2001. If you wish to meet other iguana owners, this is the place. Bring your own food and iguana(s) and have a great time.
Have you ever swam with an iguana? Well, here is your chance. Please do not challenge your iguana to an under the water swim. Believe me, we will win. We iguanas can stay under the water for 20 minutes or longer.
