AUSTRALIA ZOO formally THE QUEENSLAND REPTILE & FAUNA PARK was origionally owned by Lyn and Bob Irwin when it opened in April 1973. When they retired they passed the park down to their son Steve Irwin. I don't think it could be in better hands. Australia zoo is home to many different animals. Most of the animals there are common in Australia. The exhibits at the zoo consist of Crocodiles, Cockatoos, Birds of Pray, Native Snakes, Perenties, Alligators, Jabiru, Giant Tortoise, Exotic Snakes, Skinks, Koalas, Cassowaries, Otters, Iguanas, Lizards, Kangaroos, Brolgas, Water Rats, Goannas, and Wetland Fauna. The zoo has great staff who love and enjoy working with these animals and do their job well. The park have an amazing number of over 550 animals, all said to have been caught by Steve and his father or bred inside the park. Australia Zoo helps bring wonderfull animals, that the world is unfortunate not to see every day, to many people and it is no wonder that it is now recognized internationaly.Australia Zoo is located on Sunshine Coast near Beerwah, Australia.
