(Updated 6th April 99): Hello again all! A few updates...
NEWSFLASH:The curator of Herpetology at the Manchester Museum, Andrew Gray, is currently conducting research on the species Agalychnis calcarifer (see photos at Phyllomedusine photo page 1). Mr. Gray's research involves combining field work with observation in terrarium conditions. To our best knowledge, the first ever captive breeding of A. calcarifer took recently place at the Manchester Museum - and soon after a second successful breeding occurred! These rare events present unique supplementary data to Mr. Gray's research, which will be published in 1999. Below is a photo of the eggs.
UPDATED:Articles. Mr. Martyn Pinto's article about captive care and breeding of Hyperolius hieroglyphicus is now available at this website. Martyn welcomes correspondence and his email address is: joy@ashvalepark.demon.co.uk . Please mark your messages clearly TO: Martyn - Re:FROGS. Thank you Martyn for this wonderful article!!
COMING SOON: I still have photo material from Martin Huber and I will try and get these photos up there soon. I once again apologize for my slowness, will do my best. I have also received some wonderful articles along with photos from Mr. Eugeny Ryboltovsky - he has bred Theloderma's, Rhacophoruses and Bufo Galeota - These articles will be available here shortly. I thank Mr. Ryboltovsky for his kindness in allowing us to publish his works on the Internet!
WANTED: Photos - especially to the Rhacophorid section, the terrarium section and the habitat section. Articles and other written material would be appreciated deeply, just as also more sounds to the sound gallery.
OK, that's all for now but before I go I would like to say my personal thanks to all contributors. People - enjoy the contents, I'll see you at the Phyllomedusine mailing list! Webmaster M.R.J.
