Technology Presentation: Teacher’s Pet

Teacher’s Pet is a free, downloadable software used to create exercises and learning tools.

This tool is available for download from http://www.teachers-pet.org/ and is used in Microsoft Word.

With Teacher’s Pet, you can easily create any of the following types of learning tools:

Flashcards Gap-fill exercises Multi-choice exercises Word Jumble Sentence Jumble Pronunciation exercises

Dictionary Search Thesaurus Search Store Word Lists Synonym exercises Antonym exercises Punctuation exercises

Upon downloading the tool, detailed instructions appear and should be opened within Microsoft word. The instructions tell you exactly what to do to install and run the program. The whole program is very user-friendly.

This program would be particularly useful for instructors in Intensive English like setting, but I believe that I could also use some of the tools in my writing classes.
