So, I'm a computer freak, and i'm proud of it. I'll continue to be one,
for as long as I live, I guess. It is my primary hobby, from many sides.
I use it to collect, listen and try to compose some music, draw and watch
graphical demos and visual effects, find information, chat with people,
play tricks on them :>, program some basic stuff that make my day easier,
practice my reflexes and make levels on
Doom
by ID Software Inc..
Two of my best levels (that are still in a development stage) are
Cyberdelia and
The Death Complex.
Also, a basic
job of mine is to advocate the use of free things and software (ie.
Unix,
Linux in particular (if you use
Linux as well, go Register yourself!).
Since Windows 95, i got used to hating Microsoft and Bill Gates. I have seen
many of their products, and most of them are correctly commented as "bloatware".
Except Linux, I do use windoze (95) as well, but don't get me wrong. Today's
software urges me to do so, as I need to use Photoshop, 3DS Max and other
software that run only under Win95/NT OSes (and excuse me, but I simply don't
like GIMP :).
I won't post the story of Microsoft on this page, as you can read
a very good page that has the whole thing.

If you're getting bored on the net, try IRCing. I guess you'll already
know what IRC is, either by experience at home, or just by visiting a
net-cafe ;)
Here are some GRnet IRC servers and channels that you might want to try:
- Servers:
- nana.irc.gr
(hosted at FORTHnet, good for greek backbone)
- thirio.irc.gr
(N.T.U.A., good for US users too)
- australia.irc.gr
(Where would that be anyway...?)
- virginia.irc.gr
(Virginia, USA)
- Channels:
- #DigitalNexus
(founder: cybernoid -me-, name comes from Digital Nexus #2 BBS that I operated
somewhere in time).
- #Greece-Once_Upon_a_Time
(founder: apomakros. 'Tis a channel with no
specific subjects, but with very good people for chatting and having fun).
Some good IRC web sites for starters:
