After three months of hard work and a lot of pushing for solicitations, Ms. Eunice Anne Venus of the Interact Club of South Crest School won the title of Ms. Interact Ambassador of Goodwill.
From the start, she was always the topnotcher in every ticket counting and proved right when during the last counting last November 30, 1999, off she went with the much-coveted prize. She was far ahead of 7 other candidates from different Interact Clubs in the District earning her whooping 30% of her gross sales.
This contest was the offshot of a fundraising campaign of the Interactors meant to solicit resources for school improvement and outreach missions in their adopted communities. A portion of this campaign's proceeds shall be plowed back to the participating Interact Clubs' special projects this year while at the same time creating a big number of outstanding activities without the need for financial support from their sponsoring Rotary Clubs.
Coronation rites has been scheduled this December 11, 1999 to coincide with the District Interact Fellowship and Christmas Party at Makati YMCA Auditorium.
Last June 8, 2002 the Interact Club of South Crest School won the Outstanding Interact Club Award for this year. This is the first time that the said club won the award. The awrading ceremony was held at RCBC Plaza at Makati City. The award was received by their president Joseff Paolo R. Santiago. The award was given by the Rotary International District 3830 headed by Governor Ernesto Salas.
