MARS
: A CLOSER LOOK

This site is dedicated to giving a pictorial history of Mars.
And answering the question; Are conditions on Mars
acceptable for life? And... if the Actual Color of Mars
could be shown, would it show sighs of life?
Few words will be used, your conclusion will be your own.
The link to each image of Mars shown here will relate to the
origin of that image. Having Links to information from 1659 to
the present time Mars Global Surveyor - Mars Orbiter Camera.
Note that the color of Mars will be different for most avery
image. Not, my, fault, having done my best to portray each
photo of Mars as accurately as possible.

"Accurate colors are needed to determine the composition and mineralogy of Mars. This can tell how water has influenced the formation of rocks and minerals found on Mars today, as well as the distribution and abundance of ice and subsurface liquid water. Confirmation of the presence of certain oxidized (rusted) minerals (processed by heat or water action) would imply the possibility of different, perhaps much more Earth-like, past Martian climate periods."
