1. Read the brief summaries about four of the major players in the Underground Railroad movement from the Web site below. Be sure to follow the directions and drag the BLUE buttons where you think they should go.

2. Choose one of the four major players in
the Underground Railroad to write a paragraph about. Use Microsoft WORD to
write your paragraph, and begin with a proper header (DATE, NAME, TITLE - Your person's name).*

from a card packet, or from the Web site link below:

Here's how to get started writing your
paragraph:

Your first sentence must include the person's name and something that they did to help slaves find freedom. |

The next few sentences will be your thoughts about your person's actions. Did you think their actions were peaceful, or violent, and why? Did you think their actions were legal, or illegal, and why? Did you think their actions were effective, or ineffective, and why? |

In your final sentence say if you believe your person did the right thing, and why. |
3. SPELL CHECK, RE-READ, and PRINT your work.
