The ubiquitous list of links, I'll assume you know the

Would you believe that up until now, I didn't have this
link? I guess if I steal their site design, it's the least I could do...
My Links
2003-8-6
- MiniRacingOnline - Free, online, F1-focused, top-down racing game with many tracks available. Language barrier can be an issue, but mucho gracias.
- Christian Science Monitor - Easily the most objective and comprehensive newspaper around.
- Slashdot.org, AnandTech, and Ars Technica - Know more about the computer around you.
- Kuro5hin.org and Plastic.com are two interesting Slashdot-like sites, but rarely about computers.
- Major League Lacrosse - Not that I don't like the NLL, but I've enjoyed following the first several seasons from afar and I look forward to hopefully getting to follow the Chicago franchise now that it's up and running!
- More sports partisanship - Go Cincinnati Reds, Dallas Cowboys, and my Quad City Mallards!
- Ballparks.com - A wealth of information on the classic ballparks of old, current parks, and future stadiums. The baseball section is much better than the sections on other sports.
- Chris Creamer's Sports Logos - Logos are unparalled in their diversity and creativity, this site has a ton. I used to point to Sports Logos, Etc. and then to the Sports Logo Arena, but this seems to be better overall. However, it links to logos on official league and team sites, which frequently get moved/renamed, so the links don't always work.
- Blender - I'm no 3D artist, but this let's me pretend. So much for The Persistence of Vision Raytracer.
- How Stuff Works - Sure it's based on the books of a similar name, but it's still cool.
- Project Gutenberg - I can't think of a more appropriate use of the Internet than for the dissemination of classic texts.
- Abandoned Intellectual Property - Susan Aker brings a refreshing look on the intellectual property debate. I have to agree with her in large part, particularly that when IP is abandoned, something should be done to preserve the history that it represents. I was led to this article from this meditation on IP. Ah yes grasshopper, the fool who tries to over-protect the interests of the author and publisher ends up protecting the interests of none.
- Tom the Dancing Bug - An editorial cartoon that is too close to becoming reality.
