Some are done, some not... MiniRacing Online track - Surfer's Paradise 2005-9-9![]() I started with a track map from racingcircuits.net, and used that with a satellite image from Google Earth to generate the rough outlines. At one point, I actually was racing in-game on the Google Earth image. Using Gimp and textures from Morguefile, Mayang's Free Texture Library, and my own camera, I hope to do justice to this famous track. Phazer 1.0 2003-8-6![]() Don't get your hopes up with this "1.0" release, it's just a game I wrote years ago on my Commodore 128. It's kind of like Elite, without the fun. It's a sci-fi trading game, but the economy is static and the combat is completely out of the player's hands. I had thought the game was long lost to the great bit bucket in the sky. sure I still have the original disk I wrote it to, but who knows if my C-128 would even boot, let alone if the disk was still good. By chance, I surfed across SnakeMan's Commodore 64/128 Archive (complete with background music) that seems to be a collection of files uploaded to AOL's ancestor, Q-Link. Lo and behold, my old crappy game. The game is available for download in zipped .d64 format. Note that I do NOT support the game in any way, shape, or form. While I do still retain the copyright to the game, I do make it freely available and encouage those who do manage to enjoy it to redistribute it for free as well. Here's my description of the game from Q-Link: Original C= name was: phazer v1.0 THIS is sci-fi RPG about economic domination. You are scum with $10,000 and a dream to be a scum-stepper. You plan, buy a ship and become part of the interstellar cargo-carrying enterprise! The operation of the game is beyond simple. It's almost entirely menu driven and there is an instruction screen at the beginning and a HELP! option in the main menu. The game is in 80-columns. But, if you delete the first line, you can run it in 40-column mode, (although it will look weird.) This is a fun game and can be beaten! Paul Cornoyer 2003-8-6
"Representative Decision" Multimedia 2003-8-6![]() "Representative Decision" is a short story I wrote in the summer of 2003. You can find out more about it here. Given the restriction to 250 words, I was only able to present one small instant in a much larger story that I feel deserves to be told. Rather than expand "Representative Decision" to an unrecognizable bloated mess, I've decided to present the rest of the story through other media. I currently have plans for two other segments of the story, and I may divine more as I discover more of the story myself, as long as I find unique mediums to enhace those new segments. |
