Antique Doll Gallery

This doll is in perfect condition except for a few beads missing. 23" Tall, boots painted to match dress, cloth body, 2 slips, and pantilooms. No markings on back of head. I will be getting a better picture of her face here soon.

This is a very old doll. She is 25" tall. Her shoulder looks to have had some repairs. Hands are in excelent shape. Her dress is a little tattered and in need of a good cleaning. The slip is in good shape as well as her pantilooms. She has one foot that is messed up, but other than that she is in pretty good shape.

This doll is 20 inches tall and has Clear with 46 inside the "C" on the back of the shoulderhead. Her hair is in spiral curls on the back of the head. She also has a tag on the body "Humpty Dumpty Hospital". I don't know what they did but everything looks original. The tag is very very old as well as the rest of the doll. I found out that this doll was made by Emma Clear. She was well known for her faithful reproductions of fine 19th century bisqe and china dolls. The founder of a doll hospital in the early 20th century, she quickly became dismayed by the expense and unavailabilty of antique dolls and was inspired to make and sell reproductions. Clear was knowledgeable about glazing and painting, and was also a skilled designer of dolls clothes. I am going to have the doll appraised and will put up a price soon.
