Dear editor,
Greetings of Peace and Love of God!
I am one of the avid fans of TF Magazine, I started reading your magazine when I came in Hongkong back 1992. I find it very interesting and yet informative too. It also helps me ease my boredome. I thought of writing you to share with you my happy moments and perhaps my experiences in Hongkong in which I never forget. I have been in Hongkong for almost six years, and working in one employer. I am very thankful to God and blessed for giving me a very nice employer who treated me well and even count me as their own family. I am now on my 4th and last contract. I'll be going home soon, bringing all the happiness and success and grown so much as a person. Surely, I will miss Hongkong. I will missed all the people, the friends I've made and the beautiful places I have seen in Hongkong and most especially my employer who has a kindhearted to me, and the children I look after for quite a year. I learn to love them. I hope to keep them forever, they will always be in my heart. I wish not to be forgotten by all my friends. Moreover, hope to be remembered as someone as simple and friendly I am. I also pray that one-day soon, we will all be together again.
Indeed, working in Hongkong was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I'm going to miss everything. Thanks for all the experiences I have learn. When I look back of the years when I was new in Hongkong I could not imagine that I could finished my contract, Thank God with his help and guidance I was able to finished my third contract with the same employer and prove to myself that I was able to do it no matter what the distance are and away with my family. They are my inspiration and they are the reason why I come to work in Hongkong to give them the best I can, the better future and life they wish to live. And I don't have any regrets working as Domestic Helper because it is a decent kind of work. And I've already achieved something and fulfill my dreams.
To my fellow OFW, thank you so much. We become a living hero in helping our economy. And I am proud to say I'm one of them.
To my country PHILLIPINES, as we celebrate our Centennial Year and 100 year of Independence. We love you and we promised to comeback as what the song goes SAAN KA MAN NAROROON… BABALIK KA RIN . And enjoy our simple life. Its hard to say goodbye and its very painful to even think about but we have to accept it, and we have to decide we will leave Hongkong whether we like it or not. Hongkong is a very nice place to live but it is not our place and were not belong to Hongkong however we will always treasure all the good things we have learn in Hongkong. Further more allow me to extend my sincerest thanks and appreciation to FAR EAST PRIVILEGE COMPUTER CENTRE my school in Computer and my teacher Mr. Robert Fung for being so kind and very accommodating to his students and yet a very good teacher too. I learn a lot. And I hope I could use my knowledge in Computer, when I go back home next year and even apply for a job, therefore I encourage my fellow OFW to learn Computer or study any other things that we consider useful. And most of all, Let us make our remaining years in Hongkong be a meaningful and a fruitful one.
