O Mrs. Benson:

Methinks thou shalt not punish me for not doing thy assignment.
Because of my crazed sister, my mind went out of alignment.
My sister was oft o'er across the street.
When betwixed two trees our eyne did meet.
She ran into the lumpish bush.
She stepped in some frothy mush.
Was my sister there for long?
Nay! She lovest to get gone.
Ay, she came back, but at night.
We stayed up with terrible fright.
I was so overwrought I could not finish.
Please give me another night to diminish
The work that was not done.
Please? This is the only one.
