The Dossier of a Transplanted Alaskan is the personal site of myself, Joshua Hemsath. It serves as a repository for my pictures, articles, and graphics of past design projects.

Presently I am a 19-year old freshman, in Montana State University's Graphic Design program. I was a member of the 2004 Spirit of the West Marching Band, in the flute section. I take flute lessons from the School of Music, and perform in recitals every semester. I write for the ASMSU Exponent, the student-created newspaper on campus.

This summer (2004), I was an intern with Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska. He is Alaska's senior senator, and is serving his seventh term. Because he is the Republican party's most senior senator, he is also the Senate's President Pro Tempore. This means that he runs daily business in lieu of the Senate's President (Vice President Dick Cheney). While I myself tend to vote more left-of-center, I still respect Senator Stevens' dedication to Alaska and its residents. I was honored to have worked in his office.

Also this summer, for the third year with the Blood Bank of Alaska, and my second year in the position, I was a donor caller and Graphic Design Assistant. I was responsible for a large part of the the summer's marketing workload, and created a number of posters, helped create a campaign for the BBA's High School Challenge program, as well as created a stylebook for corporate communications.

Hopefully this website serves as a good represenation of myself, what I do, and what I believe in. If you have any questions regarding the content of the site or myself, do not hesitate to click the contact link, located at the bottom of every page.
