I first joined the Royal Canadian Cadet Corps in 1975 and left them in 1976 when My father (also military) was posted from Inuvik, Northwest Territories to Ottawa, Ontario.
In June of 1980 I enrolled in the Communication Reserves. I remained with the unit for approximately 5 years during which time I went on many exercises and travelled across Canada to get to them, I also had a 6 month engagement with NATO in Lahr, West Germany. The people that I worked with and the time that was spent with them was about the best of times that I can remember. I still drop by to see who is still around to this day...just not as often as I should.
On 25 August 1985, I left the reseerve and went to the Regular forces, and am with them today.During the past 12 years I have been with many units and have had 4 United Nations tours
I am currently looking forward to a posting to 79 Communications Regiment in Kingston, Ontario. There will be more pictures coming soon!
