Taurus is a 26 year old international consultant, specialising in Java and CORBA architectures. In his past life, he has also spent a serious amount of time programming in C++. He earns a modest living.

When he isn't out and about consulting or training, Taurus resides in his penthouse apartment and pursues some of his hobbies. He owns a variety of computer kit from various computing eras: a Dell PC, a Psion Series 3a, an Acorn Archimedes; and an aging Acorn Electron; all have been upgraded to the point of unrecognisability. At some point or other all of these machines have been programmed in various languages. He currently has a couple of Java projects on the go: building a lightweight JavaVM; writing an OPL to Java translator.

Whilst working, Taurus can often be found in airport departure lounges, checking in to Hotels, or eating out in the best restaurants in town. Some of his favourite haunts are Zurich, Paris, Dallas and Lisbon, though he can often be found closer to home in London or Glasgow. He is currently trying to earn enough air miles for an exotic holiday - in addition to buying a faster sports car...
