JavaJct - Now the functionality of JJCT is available to all developers, not just Windows.

Welcome to Beta 1 of JavaJct.

System Requirements:

  1. JDK 1.1.2 or higher.

JavaJct has been tested on the following environments:

Windows NT and JDK 1.1.2 - JDK 1.1.5

Redhat Linux 5.0 and JDK 1.1.5

About JavaJct

JavaJct is based in JJct, a Java IDE written for Windows 95/NT. It is currently available on Internet sites and also included on cd-roms in several books. Originally I wrote JJct because I could not find a Java Editor that supported different fonts. It started out as a simple editor and evolved into a multi-threaded Java development environment. Many people asked for a version of JJct that ran on platforms other than Windows. The result is JavaJct, a 100% pure Java development environment for the JDK.

Known Issues/Suggestions

  1. File dialog box does not work correctly on the Linux JDK 1.1.5. You need to enter the file and path names manually in the dialog box.
