This is the introduction / ego section of the page. Let's get on with it shall we?
Name: Dave 'Hex' Tashjian (The name is Armenian just in case you were curious)
Height/Weight: 6' 1" / approximately 200lbs.
Hair: Leaving at an alarming rate!
Occupation: Computer Operator (such a dull job I lead...)
Last seen: Being mistaken for "Cheech" Marin.
Favorite Beverages: Tea, Coffee, Cherry Coke, Guinness, Vodka & Cranberry Juice
Favorite Foods: Chocolate, Pasta, Poultry, Rice
What Am I Currently Working On: My usual projects involve perpetual home repair, the inevitable return to school at University of Cincinnati as a pre-engineering student, sorting and organizing all the various things I collect, and most importantly, keeping the cat's litterbox clean.
Profile: I try my darndest to find humor in my world. If I didn't make this effort, I'd want to club half the population with a UNIX manual. Unfortunately, the world isn't all that funny at times. I have come to realize that I possess a notably scattered mind. It's not that I'm crazy, nor is it that silly attention deficit disorder thing. It's just that on occasion I feel that my head is just wired wrong. -- And this is a good thing! Who needs a world full of "Yes-Folk"? Of course, the only real problem is I forget half the time exactly what I said out loud; I wish I didn't, it means I lose most of my best jokes due to poor memory.
Credentials (Important): I have an Associates Degree in Data Communications at Cincinnati Technical College (Currently known as Cincinnati State and Community College), where I graduated cum laude. I also have taken a few engineering courses at Cincinnati Tech. with plans to also obtain an associates in Computer Engineering. Unfortunately, I burned out, and let the lure of money and full time work take priority. The good news is I have a clue when it comes to electronics, but my education is far from over as I gear up to return to school in late September.
Credentials (Other): There are some things that you can say that you've done and only a few people may care about them, or it has nothing to do with what the mundane folk call "The real world today." So, for those who care, I ran a personal BBS for a bit over three years called "The Dark Tower of Wayreth 2", I have managed (barely) FidoNet echomail message groups, drew many ANSI pictures for various boards, created the "Un-Official Official Transformers Tech-Spec Listing", have recently completed the "Beast Wars Tech-Spec Listing", and have been putting together IBM clones from computer store bought components since the heyday of the 8088. I am also entertaining creating profile archives of some other toy lines, but that will have to wait until I can muster the time to get my act together.
As you wander through "Hex's World", you'll probably get more of a sense of who I am, who I am not, and probably even who I want to be.
