I have created a Remedy Message Board. This is a great place to discuss topics, available jobs, and just general discussions without needing to go through a bunch of unrelated messages. Feel free to use this board, it is located at http://www.delphi.com/remedy
Remedy is a tracking tool. It contains a fairly complete workflow engine. It's biggest capability is to track "things" and keep a status on it. It is very functional and easy to develop in. It is also very extensible. The system is very open and runs on many platforms.
Generally the first thing people ask is, "What can Remedy's Action Request System do for me or my organization?" The answer is almost cut and dry: It is used to track things (bugs reports, change and/or asset management, help desk tickets, lunch orders, sales, etc.)
But, almost as important, it's not just what it can do, it's how it can do it. You can "submit" (create) tickets from virtally any source. The source could be a client tool (developed by Remedy), the web, a script reading output from another system, or virtually any other source.
LicensExpress does not work with Remedy v4.x and above. Remedy has closed the loophole in the newest versions of the ARServer process. If you are using an older version and would like to try LicensExpress, please contact us.
LicensExpress v1.3 is now available. LicensExpress helps maintain floating licenses, even in very high license to user ratios. It can automatically release user licenses (as if done from the admin tool) every minute. If you are interested in having a demo version, email us.
With LicensExpress's newest features, it is ARS's (r) best license management tool around. If you want to compare features, compare LicensExpress to Antidote from RXTools. You'll find better tracking, easier maintenance and better value with LicensExpress at your fingertips. The newest version will even tell you when all of your floating licenses are used. It also helps you be more proactive with your license management.
NOTE: RXTools no longer supports Antidote. Their web page, http://www.RXTOOLS.com is no longer available. Contact us for special pricing for registered Antidote customers, so that you can use a supported license management tool.
The programs and links below are generally freeware (unless otherwise noted). Getting these support tools are fairly easy.
ARSystem Contrib Library
This util is used to change a group, whereever it exists, in the selected schemas. This means fields, schemas and active links. It is currently based on Group ID, but will move towards Group Names. It will eventually allow a new group be added to a schema, field and active link. If you want it, here it is.
This utility is used to move information from one schema to another. Remedy provides no elegant way to move information from one schema to another without a lot of hassle. Over time I have created scripts that will take a list of records, then export them, and import them. They weren't flexible enough to allow for easy changes within the ARSystem Admin Tool. This program gives the flexibility to provide the data migration that I needed.
This version should be considered ALPHA code until it becomes more thoroughly tested. Although I have used it on my machine, it is the only machine it has been used on.
This program will only work on Windows 95 and NT systems. There are currently no versions for any other systems.

Version 1.1 will be released soon, offering logging services. A complementary tool to create the history schema will be available soon. Check back regularly.
Ever get tied of the way you can't quickly delete schemas, active links, filters, menus and escalations? I do. I find it's a pain in the butt.
That's where ARQuickDelete comes in. AR lets you log into the system, and you select the type of object you want to delete. In the list box, double click the item to delete it. It's gone.
This is the second release of the program. It has been tested with NT 4.0, ARSystem 3.0. The application will work on any 3.0 server. This version fixes a bug with the code that did not show all of the schemas. It also automatically finds all registered servers.
The zip file has several files, including ARQDelete.exe, MSVCRT.DLL and TIRPC40.dll. If you have any problems, email me. To get the file, click here.
ARDelete is a program that allows the deletion of an entry without the user tool. You pass the login name, password, server, schema, and entry id; it deletes the record. It can be used within a filter for allowing non-subadministrators (or people without a fixed license) the ability to delete a record.
The source is available online. For executable formats, please email tmcquitty@hotmail.comARchive is a utility for creating automatic exports of the definitions of your system. This allows developing in an environment where backups (of definitions, not data) can occur in intervals of five minutes. This allows complete control, without the loss of logic.
NOTE: Keep in mind, when doing a Definitions Export, system performance may be impacted.
Simply fill in your username, password, servername and interval. ARchive does the rest!
ARchive is now available.
ARmessages is used to retrieve a list of all the messages (note, warning and error) from filters and active links. It is currently in testing and should be released very soon.
The win95/winNT executable is now online. We have created this utility to generate a comma delimited file containing information about objects. Currently, the only object it does not describe about a system is its menus. There are two different versions available. The first one is a command line utility. It is very simple to use. Simply specify your username, password, server name, and a prefix and pipe the output to a file.
The win95/winNT version has a gui. It allows more flexibility in reporting (specifying which columns to report on, etc).
Click here for the command line version. Click here for the GUI version (v1.1 now here).Again, maintained by Thomas McQuitty (tmcquitty@hotmail.com).
