The Wetlands
The wetlands will be an area of
purification and regulation. Agriculture waste water, albeit comprised
of little more than organic fertilizers and water, will be run through
this 10 square mile area to be cleansed before reentry into the lake. Similarly,
precipitation from every other area has to run through these low lying
wetlands before entering the lake. It will also be an area of transition
between the contrasting biomes of the lake and the rain forest, because
maintaining two such contrastingly different biomes without a certain buffer
zone would be exceedingly difficult. Treated urine and small organic waste
products will also be degraded in this area.
