Diane Frolov, Executive Producer
Executive producer Diane Frolov brings an impressive list of television honors to the new FANTASY ISLAND, which she produces with husband and partner, Andrew Schneider. While executive producer and writer for the acclaimed drama "Northern Exposure", a project in which she also teamed with Schneider, the show won an Emmy for Outstanding Dramatic Series. As writers on "Northern Exposure", Schneider and Frolov won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series and a Peabody Award for a specific episode which they had written. During the five seasons, from 1990-1995, that Frolov worked on "Northern Exposure the acclaimed show won the S.A.G. American Scene Award and two Golden Globes for Best Dramatic Series.
In addition, Frolov was the executive producer and writer with Schneider for Touchstone's "Dangerous Minds" in 1996. She also co-produced and wrote for the FOX series "Alien Nation" during the 1989-90 season.
Frolov's writing resume includes multiple episodes of the popular series "Magnum, P.I." and scribing the FOX telefilm "Alien Nation - Dark Horizon". She also wrote and served as story editor on "V", the Warner Bros./NBC production. Frolov wrote for several films during her successful career, including "Quickstep", "Meni and l"Low Flyers" for Touchstone.
Frolov graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts, later earning her MFA for playwriting. She and husband Schneider have worked on numerous projects, including "Northern Exposure" and a FOX pilot, "The Pastor's Wife". The producers live in Los Angeles when not on location.
