I am looking for datas concerning rearmaments of the light AA weapon aboard the USS Yorktown and USS Enterprise starting from their commision up to their end (1942/1956). Many sources mention that Yorktown was armed with 1.1 in and 20 mm guns at MIdway, b t some photos shows clearly that some 0.5 in MGs remained. I would be very obliged for every information concerning this fact as about the last years of the Big E, especially this unfortunate efforts to save her as a monument.

Dear Sir/Madam I am writing this in behalf of my father, Earl T. Hunt, who is now 74 and was on the Lady Lex when she went down in the Coral Sea on May 8th, 1942. He was a rear gunner and attained the rank of Lieutenant. The reason I'm sending this to you is because my father asked me if I would surf the Internet and see if I could find ANYTHING on the original Lexington (CV-2). He has lost so much out of his scrap book over the past 56 years and is trying to replace as uch of it as he can. If there is anything you could send me or any site you could direct me to, I would sincerely appreciate it. All I have been able to find so far is a few pictures and a one paragraph account on when she went down. Thank you, Jack E. Hunt

Also on Thursday there will be a spectacular Parade of Ships Fiesta on San Diego Bay. Many other events are scheduled and the week will end with a Blue Angels Airshow.
