This is the homepage of the Merrymakers, a writing troupe whose sole intent is to challenge our writing abilities. In the process, not only will we improve our skills, but we will give you, the reader, a plethora of material to view.

The Merrymakers take a premise - it could be a description of someone walking down the street, a news clip, a theme, or an object, anything - from one of our number and form a short story around it. It's a sort of a game as we weave our own distinct plots, characters, and situations.

  • To view the complete description of the intent and guidelines, go to the Information Page.
  • To view biographies of the current members, please go to the Member Biographies page.
  • If you wish to send any questions or comments, please send an email to wts@ireland.com.

Or, you could always just read on for some great stories...

"Spiderwebs, sunlight, a minor wound, and water."

Okay, here's the second premise, given as a parting gift from Jeth. He's been very busy, so he decided to bow out before we get too much further into the premises. However, since he was in line, I decided to go on and let him submit a premise. A word about this premise: since tehre are four components, I'm going to make the requirement that you use at least three of the four components. Other than that, enjoy! This premise is due October 1st, with the next premise being given by Welsh Goddess.
