the Darkness
We're moving into darkness
The lights are but a blur
Miles slip by so swift and fast
No journey's end is sure
Clouds are forming overhead
As thunder lights the sky
Thoughts are deafened by the sound
As the sky begins to cry
The journey's end is but a start
To what we may not know
Where the pathways take us now
Unknown but we must go
A history gone a present stalled
A future that terrifies
A world of possibliltes there
If we'll but open our eyes
No adventure is worth the taking
If not fraught with some risk
Now we face that which we must
As we raise our mighty fist
In the end we smile a smile
From knowing what we've gained
We face the world with open eyes
Now stronger from the pain
The lessons learned have helped us
We know what is right
Never were we darkness bound
As we burst into the light
